Thank you SO much!! Sorry for taking so long to answer. I just saw this today.  Anyway, I’ve found a lot of my lots on Sims Urbania, MTS, the dreaded TSR, and Sims Cave and modified them to suit my needs (I suck at building and decorating).  I’ve only made one or two of the lots I use frequently and have been considering offering them for download (once I figure out how).  As for offering the whole hood for download….I probably won’t.  For one, I don’t know how and, two, it crashes like crazy on me, especially the downtown and I wouldn’t want to inflict that on anyone else’s game.

My best tip for making your hood look like mine would be placement and hood deco.  It took months for me the get my downtown in its current configuration, lots of trial and error, moving things a hundred times.  Another tip….cheat.  Use a pic of a place or city you really like as your inspiration.  I love the desert and used a lot of pics of Arizona, New Mexico, and Los Angeles as my inspiration pics. I did the same thing for specific lots.

Oooo, another tip….in hood view, hit tab and use that camera to get down in between lots and see how the street view looks.  You’ll find the different perspective invaluable for finding gaping holes between lots that you can’t see from the regular bird’s eye view. Look at things from the lot view as well. Again you’ll find the places you need to fix or fill in to make the hood look more put together.  Sorry this is long and I hope it helps.  Thank you again :)

1.  Ivy comes from a very affluent lineage that she has never been connected to.  Her grandparents kicked her mother out when they found out she was pregnant at 16, forcing them both into a life of poverty.  She has seen her grandparents in public on several occasions but has never made contact with them.

2.  She has a rare, yet, in her case beneficial, deformity: double eyelashes.

3.  Ivy is a very talented singer.  It was the only commonality that she and her mother shared.

4.  Even though they only had each other, Ivy and her mother never got along and fought constantly, leading her to seek emancipation at the age of 15.  Her mother didn’t object and she has not seen or spoken to her since.

5.  She got a job working at one of her grandfather’s shipping warehouses but never revealed her true identity to him or anyone else there.  She saw it as a way of forcing him to support her the way he should have.

6.  Ivy met Cross at a local dive bar when she was 17 years old; he was 21. Two weeks later they started dating; 1 month after that she moved in with him; 2 weeks later he started hitting her.  She took his abuse for the next 4 years (minus a year and half during his first stint in jail). 

7.  She is responsible for turning Cross over to the police and inevitably sending him to jail.  In her eyes it was the only way to stop his abuse.

8.  While she was with Nico she found out she was pregnant with his child.  Even though he had made it very clear that he didn’t want kids with her she decided to keep it.  She miscarried 4 months into the pregnancy and never told him about it.

9.  Ivy loves flowers and has a very green thumb.  One of the things she misses most about the house Nico rented for her is the garden she planted in the backyard.

10.  Even though he could be inconsiderate and mean to her, she has always been, and still is very much in love with Nico.

Did you change themes? Sometimes that’s what causes the borkage! :/

I did, but I had to add the links manually. Thought I had done it right but apparently not.  Love this new theme but it doesn’t have much wiggle room with (easy) customization.
